Hinterbühne, 2023 — ongoing

Hinterbühne (Offstage) explores contemporary society through the space behind the stage, a place of waiting, preparation and doubt, where roles, images and illusions are created.

In theatres, creative spaces and everyday life in Germany, the project observes the state of society at a moment of transition between stability and uncertainty, where people try on roles, change masks and attempt to maintain a sense of order in a world that is becoming increasingly unpredictable.
